The new season was previously described, “Nickelodeon’s beloved horror anthology series Are you afraid of the dark? They’ll be back for Chapter Three with the all-new members of the Midnight Society, gathering around a campfire to share another spooky story. titled Are you afraid of the dark?: Ghost IslandSeason 3 will follow this new group of kids as they go on what they thought would be a fun summer vacation at an island resort, until they learn something sinister that haunts the guests.”

The new members of the Midnight Society are: Kayla, played by Tilsi Huynh (Modern Love, Drama Club); Max, played by Conor Sherry (The final list, the devil you know); Leo, played by Luca Padovan (You areAnd the rock music school on Broadway); Summer, played by Dior Judjohn (class head); The Fries, played by Chance Hurstfeld (A million little things, good boys). Julian Curtis (I wish a man) also plays Stanley Crane, hotel manager at the island resort.
Are you afraid of the dark?: Ghost Island Follows the last six-part season, Are you afraid of the dark: the curse of the shadowswhich aired during 1Q21 and was the third live show on cable TV with Kids 6-11 (behind No. 1 The power of danger and 2 side hustle). Season 2 of the anthology series saw a different group of kids in the Midnight Society tell a terrifying story about a curse cast upon their small coastal town, which is haunted by a villain named Shadowman. The series recently received a Writers Guild Award and nominations from the Directors Guild Awards and Artios Awards.
